Summary:
A warm and relocating family is seeking a dedicated, full-time nanny to join their household in the Brentwood/Beverly Hills area of Los Angeles, California. The family is in the process of relocating and anticipates a May or June start date. They have two young children, a one-year-old son and a two-and-a-half-year-old daughter, and are looking for someone who will be a genuine, long-term presence in their lives. This is not a babysitting role; the ideal candidate will be deeply invested in the children's daily development, routines, and overall wellbeing. The position is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (40 hours per week), with the potential for occasional weekend or overnight overtime. California overtime law applies, meaning time-and-a-half for any hours worked beyond eight in a single day. Benefits include six paid holidays, two weeks of paid time off after six months, a healthcare stipend, and travel-related compensation for domestic and international trips. A strong preference will be given to candidates who speak Russian, as the family is actively raising their children to be bilingual, though this is not an absolute requirement.
Required Skills:
The nanny will be responsible for the full-time care of mostly the little one, but will need a skill set to encompass both children, including engaging age-appropriate play and activities, managing daily routines, handling class drop-offs and pick-ups as needed, and providing basic meal preparation such as steaming vegetables, making simple toddler-friendly foods, and pureeing for the infant. The family does not require household management, errands, or family assistant duties beyond what is directly child-related. Candidates must hold a valid driver's license (family vehicles will be available for use), maintain a valid US passport for travel, and be current on all required vaccinations including COVID-19 and TDAP. The ideal candidate is energetic, patient, and firm, with the ability to manage two children simultaneously and adapt quickly to the family's preferences and routines. The family places a high value on a nanny who approaches the role with a hospitality mindset, meaning they follow the parents' specific methods and instructions rather than defaulting to their own. Candidates should be calm yet fun and genuinely nurturing, with the stamina and enthusiasm needed to keep up with two active toddlers. Familiarity with the Los Angeles area and knowledge of child-friendly local activities is a plus. The recruitment process will begin immediately, with candidate packages reviewed virtually and in-person trial days scheduled upon the family's arrival in California.
